Blaxlands Arm (CREEK), NSW Details
Description
A watercourse about 11km long. It rises about 4km SW by W of Blaxland trig station and flows generally NE into Wollombi Brook.
Origin
This creek was named after John Blaxland an early settler below Paynes Crossing on Cockfighter Creek (low Wollombi Brook) where in 1832 on a tract of about 8000 acres he kept his sheep. Historical Tours in Greater Cessnock. 994.4/123
