Description
A neighbourhood about 6 km ESE of Bulls Hill and about 6 km SSE of Prospect Trig Station. Boundaries shown on map GNB3550 Boundaries within Holroyd Council area shown on map GNB 3709.
Origin
The property that gave Fairfield its name was originally a grant of 100 acres owned by Gabriel Louis Marie Huon de Kerrileau and named Castel Paul. In 1840 Captain John Horsley bought the property and renamed it Fairfield after the family estate in Somerset. (Pollon F 1988 The Book of Sydney Suburbs)
