Not to be confused with nyimbinymeaning a house or yimbun meaning a bullrush. (Rich.Twd.Reg.Lib. and Rich.R.Hist.Soc.1983). Also: possibly comes from Nimbun a Bundjalung hero who escaped from a cave in area making a large hole. (Appleton; 1992).
