Description
A neighbourhood within the suburb of Ambarvale about 4 km E of Menangle Park and about 2.5 km SW of Bradbury. Boundary amendment 23 July 1999. Boundaries within the Campbelltown Council area shown on map GNB4174.
Origin
Named after Thomas Rose (d.1837) a convict who arrived in Sydney 1798 and was conditionally pardoned in 1806. He purchased 300ac on the main southern road east of Campbelltown and became a pioneer of the Appin/ Campbelltown district.
