History

Name accidently omitted from register in 1987. Name confirmed by Council in 1998. (Kempsey Council letter 2 February 1998)

Description

A watercourse about 1.5 km long. It rises just south of Pola Creek Rd and flows generally NE until its confluence with the Macleay River about 5 km north east by north of Kempsey Bridge.

Origin

There was originally another creek in the area `Pola Creek`. After 1949-50 floods part of the bed of the creek was altered and this became `Pola Creek` the old remnant became `Old Pola Creek`. The origin of `Pola` is unknown. (Macleay River Historical Society letter dated 3 June 1998)
