Description
This site is in front of the Museum of Sydney. It is bounded on the north by Bridge Street on the east by Phillip Street on the west by a group of terraces and on the south by the museum. The place overlays the remains of the First Government House the outline of which is marked on the grounds surface.
Origin
The place was constructed to interpret and commemorate the location of the First Government House in association with the Museum of Sydney. Authenticity of the remains was confirmed by archaeological digs.
