Glenworth Valley Reserve (RESERVE), NSW Details
Description
A reserve beside Propran Creek near the junction with Hospital Gully about 4 km WNW of Dublin Jacks Hill and about 4 km E by N of Lower Mangrove. There is a grave on the reserve dating back to 1841. It contains the remains of Owen Maloney an early resident of Popran Creek. (See Gosford Councils letter of 22-Jul-1994 on file GNB2531)
Origin
The reserve is located opposite portion 89 Parish of Cowan which was granted to Stephen MacDonald in 1837. He named his grant Glenworth Valley. There is a grave on the reserve which dates back to 1841. According to Gosford Council it is the grave of Owen Maloney an early resident of Popran Creek. (See GNB2531)
