using winget to update all your windows 11 applications via command line

So i was told that i could get nice and easy updates to basically everything using winget?

All you need to do is type

winget upgrade --all

or to show a list of items to upgrade just do

winget upgrade

if you have some you dont want to update to the latest versions just pin them

winget search <application_name>

then get its id

for example capcut is ByteDance.CapCut

then pin it

winget pin add --id ByteDance.CapCut

check the pins

winget pin list

then it should apparently ignore that one...
