Using the Alchemiser for passive Money 16 Million Profit
So i bought 10k Small Plated orikalkum salvages for high alching using the Alchemiser machine. I usually search on the rs wiki and show the trending high alch items here.
RuneScape:Grand Exchange Market Watch/Alchemy - The RuneScape Wiki
I never really bothered to calculate how much it costs to alch something in the machine, this will also be minus the power costs for powering the alch machine.
How many runes does the machine use to alch one item?
According to the wiki the MK1 machine: Every hour, on the hour, the alchemiser will process up to eight items deposited in it, consuming up to 45 machine charge as well as five fire runes and a nature rune.
Nature Rune Cost: 372 bought from vendors, or 937 on GE.
Fire Rune Cost: 17 vendors or 123 on GE.
I usually keep the fire and nature runes from vendor runs to reduce the cost of buying them on GE. So one item alch cost is... 372 + (17 x 5) = 85 + 372 = 457 per alch. Or at high costs: 937 + 615 = 1552 per alch.
So as long as the items can be purchased for less than 2k the alch price then its worth it to have them sitting at the alchemiser making small profits.
Calculations on Profit
Out of 10k small plated salvages bought for 47,847 each. Alch Value 50,000
Raw Item Cost: 478,470,000
Rune Cost Low: 457 x 10,000 = 4,570,000
Alch Total: 500,000,000
Profit is 500,000,000 - 478,470,000 - 4,570,000 = 16,960,000
Total Passive Profit from 10k small plated salvages: $16,960,000 GP.
